“Serving Smiles” at Oak City Outreach

Come and join SHBHU in this compassion mission to help serve meals to those in the Downtown Raleigh area at the Oak City Outreach Center (OCOC). OCOC is the outcome of the continual efforts to provide food assistance to individuals who are experiencing homelessness and/or lack of food on a daily basis in downtown Raleigh. Their goal is to help “close the hunger gap together.” SHBHU has partnered with OCOC to help serve meals on the third Sunday of every month. Please arrive at 1:00 PM to help set up food that will be served from 1:30-2:15 and then clean up until 2:30 PM. We will be serving food that is generously donated by another organization. However SHBHU would like to supplement this meal with beverages, dessert, and paper products. Once registration is full, a sign up with items needed will be emailed to you.
